All day long I kept starting something, then getting distracted and going on a bit of a walkabout, then forgetting what I was doing in the first place. I can’t tell you how much work I actually got done, because I don’t recall actually getting to the end of anything. But there are several tasks that I will be able to cross off my to-do list tomorrow, because they’re already half done now.

Less than half, most of them, to be perfectly honest. But that’s more than I planned to do today, and definitely more than I get done on a typical Sunday.

Sometimes it’s hard to remember that there are other things in life besides working. Maybe it’s because I’m here alone with all my files and equipment all day every day, so it feels as if I’m always at work. I did get out for awhile today, to watch Eric play baseball, and that was good. But even when I stay home, I don’t need to be working all the time. I believe that, but sometimes I don’t feel it.

The face of the sky.

As you know, I work better and more efficiently (and enjoy it more) when there’s a baseball game on television at the time. So I signed up for the full baseball satellite package (they had a discount for the rest of the season). The only trouble is that most of the time I’m flipping between two or three games going on at the same time, instead of actually working. So there’s another thing to work on.
